    Culture Transformation

We work with organizations to assess and evolve their culture, aligning values with practice to create healthier, more equitable workplaces.

Informed by cutting-edge insights from psychology, neuroscience, and organizational development, we understand that people bring their whole selves to work. We work with clients to increase their self-awareness and emotional literacy, enabling them to understand themselves and their colleagues better. Understanding how one’s own personality and history impact how they show up at work leads to more thoughtful and intentional interactions with others, more care for oneself and one’s team, and ultimately a more harmonious and sustainable workplace. These changes reverberate throughout the organization and even into clients’ personal lives and the greater community.

Why is it an advantage to have psychologists part of this process?

Our work begins with a commitment to do no harm. As psychologists, we understand psychological safety and human vulnerability, allowing change to unfold with care and integrity.

You work in pairs. Why is that, and won’t that make this process more expensive?

We facilitate as pairs to bring depth, balance, and responsiveness to complex work. This research-supported approach, allows us to hold both people and process with greater care and effectiveness.

In Depth

Explore our process in greater depth and better understand how our organization can best benefit you, so you can move forward with confidence.

  • We provide a space, skills and guidance for your team to become more connected with their own sense of themselves and their place on a team and within the organization. We question the dominant culture-driven assumption that anything worthwhile must come from an outcomes-based promise of clear deliverables. Based on our expertise and experience, transformation comes from connecting with oneself and others, explicitly examining cultural norms, and being intentional about changing what is not working.

  • We’re deeply knowledgeable about human behavior, how people think and learn, what motivates them, and how relationships and organizations really work. We bring trauma-informed, culturally aware practices into everything we do, and we partner with you to create an approach that fits your organization—not a one-size-fits-all solution. We value transparency, authenticity, and honesty. When we make mistakes, we acknowledge them and work to correct them. We believe that’s how trust is built—and it’s something we can help you do as well.

    • Mindfulness practices and leadership approaches

    • Managing (not avoiding) conflict

    • Reflective Listening

    • Managing anxiety to be fully present and able to participate

    • Validating different perspectives

    • Practicing curiosity and checking assumptions

    • Increasing self-awareness and emotional intelligence

    • Cultivating empathy and setting clear boundaries

    • Using both rational thought and intuitive emotion when decision-making

    • Valuing and building diversity, inclusivity, and equity

  • The applied skills and practices of mindfulness, including mindful leadership, have emerged as a way to enhance and support well-being, emotional intelligence, sustainability, effectiveness, and thriving at work and home.

We integrate mindfulness practices into our work with leaders, managers, and staff. This approach involves live virtual and/or in-person sessions or retreats, integrating guided practices, dialogue, and experiential learning of foundational concepts and frameworks. Learning also involves personal practices and brief reflections that can be done at home and work between class sessions. This accessible approach invites participants to make changes in their daily lives to enhance their personal and work wellbeing and functioning without overtaxing their already busy lives.

  • Organizations should be prepared to clearly articulate the reasons for reaching out and the outcomes they hope to achieve. Meaningful engagement includes active involvement from executive leadership and intentional protection of staff and leadership time so participants can fully commit to the work. Consistent partnership across all phases—from assessment and co-creation to intervention and long-term sustainability—supports lasting change, with follow-up and booster sessions reinforcing progress over time.

  • Our work begins with a complimentary phone consultation to understand your organization’s goals, challenges, and context, and to determine whether working together feels like a good fit.

From there, we offer a comprehensive assessment proposal, recognizing that careful assessment is essential to understanding the complexity and root causes of organizational challenges. This phase may include one-on-one conversations with leaders, staff, board members, and other stakeholders.

Following the assessment, we provide a thoughtful analysis with clear recommendations and an estimated range of investment. These recommendations inform a tailored proposal designed specifically for your organization, and we work collaboratively with leadership to co-create interventions that align with your culture and support sustainable change.

  • Your budget for the  initial assessment should be $5000-$10,000. A contract with us could range from $6000 for a year of leadership coaching for one executive leader to $40,000 for a yearlong program that involves coaching for multiple leaders;  two annual full staff retreats per year to work on organizational culture change and sustainability; team-level support; and urgent leadership support as needed. We always work as a team of 2-3 consultants when working with groups.
